YM & You Programme

The YM & You programme is a new programme funded by the Ideas Fund and delivered in partnership with Ulster University. Girls aged 11-16 who attend Londonderry YMCA youth programmes have been matched with students of Ulster University and are completing a mentoring programme helping develop confidence, resilience and aspirations for the future.

Alongside the mentoring, a research piece will explore the impacts of mentoring relationships on the lives of young people and their mentors.  This new research will be at the forefront in terms of young women’s health and wellbeing and how youth services can impact positively on outcomes for young women.
